OVERLAND ADVENTURE
Two Must-Do Itineraries in Colorado
What’s the best way to overland?
The Rocky Mountains is certainly a top contender for its serene landscapes and endless opportunities for exploration.
When our team was dreaming up where our new Fall '22 Overland Collection would best come to life, it was Colorado that captured our imaginations. From hiking and off-roading to fly fishing and water exploration, we knew certain Colorado spots would embody the essence of the perfect roam, overland style.
Follow along for how we spent our two day Fall collection photoshoot in the western wilderness and get a sneak peek at what is to come with new collection launch.
Day One: Avalanche Creek in Carbondale, CO
The overlanding trend is all about packing up a few essentials and living on the road, experiencing new sights and adventures along the way. We chose to overland in the Rossmonster Lagom Series Jeep, which turned out to be the perfect way to get our group around. It proved burly enough to take on the demanding backroads, and was outfitted with all the backcountry camping accoutrements we needed. Plus, the top popped up to create a sleeping area that offered a bird's eye view!
We headed straight toward Avalanche Creek, nestled into a narrow canyon above Carbondale, CO. The creek is a natural wonder – turquoise blue waters set against towering mountains with splashes of vibrant green vegetation. It was the perfect backdrop for a morning of hiking along the river, off-roading and fly fishing.
The afternoon took us up nearby Prince Creek Road to an area affectionately know by the locals as "The Crown", a recreational area that connects to a large trail system, where we set up shop. The open sage meadow gave us an unobstructed view of Mount Sopris, a 13,000-foot peak and the dominant personality in this valley. A starry night, fire pit, s’mores and sleeping in the truck were highlights from our day one of overlanding.

Day Two: Downtown Aspen to Devil’s Punch Bowl Overlook
The sunrise and cowboy coffee woke us up and in no time, we were ready for Day 2. After a stop in downtown Aspen visiting Local Coffee House, 614 E. Cooper Ave, we made our way to the Grotto ice caves up toward Independence Pass. Here, the rock has been carved out by millenia of melt-off and re-freezing. It was a wonder to behold and humbling, too - the waters will continue to carve out this area long after we have moved on.
Next, we stopped by the Twin cracks and Cryogenics Wall, a well-known, easy-to-find spot for climbers. The last stop was Grizzly Lake for some dusk fly fishing, an excellent way to wrap up this two-day adventure.
Throughout this overlanding trip, we roamed in comfort in some of our newest pieces. From the eco-friendly fabrics to the super soft layering pieces, our Fall Overland Collection complemented the adventures we wanted to have, while keeping us warm and comfortable along the way.
Stay tuned for the Fall '22 Overland Collection launching Monday, 9/12. Those on our VIP list will receive early access to shop the collection on Friday, 9/9. Sign up HERE to become a VIP and be the first to know and shop when the collection launches.
