Get Comfortable Being Thankful

Get Comfortable Being Thankful

For me, the Thanksgiving holiday is synonymous with expressing gratitude. As a child it was the one time of year we got together as a family to go around the table to express what we were thankful for. I remember it always made me feel good to hear what others were thankful about along with me expressing myself. The idea of our family uniting in this fashion for a moment bonded us, and it felt great.

As the years went by, I recall one Thanksgiving thinking, “Hey, why don’t I do this everyday. Why should I wait a whole year to be thankful.” As an adolescent, I thought this was a revolutionary idea.  I had figured a way to hack the system so to speak.

So daily, I started talking to myself, internally, saying the things I was thankful for. I found each time I did, it felt good. I have to admit I did think I was a bit crazy at first in having this conversation with myself, this way; however, I couldn’t beat the results I was getting. Thus I learned to get comfortable being thankful.

I have found that even in the hardest of days, if I can stop for a moment to just be thankful for something it can shift my energy, my focus, and help me understand what is most important in life.

It is with this spirit I want to say I am grateful for my family & my Sportiqe family, which includes you. I am thankful to be on this journey of life with the opportunity to support people being comfortable in every moment of their life.

What are you thankful for?

In Gratitude,

Matt
