Hometown Classics Spotlight

February 07, 2011

All of the Sportiqe Hometown Classic clients create their product with limitless love and passion, but none do southern-style comfort food like our Hometown Classic Loveless Café in Nashville, Tennessee. As we descend into the dog days of winter, a great way to stay warm is comfort food. For 60 years, Loveless Café has been warming souls with home-style from-scratch biscuits, Southern-fried chicken, country ham and a load of other dishes (many of which include bacon).

Loveless actually originated as a Motel with a café attached and eventually the owners added a mail-order business and catalog. In 1985, in order to keep up with the high demand of their world-famous biscuits, the Motel business ceased and the owners focused their energy on the café. Their hard-work and dedication has paid dividends as Loveless Café has been featured on many nationally syndicated shows including Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Ellen, Martha Stewart and Throwdown with Bobby Flay!

So if you find yourself in Nashville, Loveless Café is a must-see. If you can’t make it to Tennessee, you can bring the Café to you. You can find two Loveless tees (pictured below) on our online boutique here. Plus, The Loveless Café website includes recipes for some of their best dishes. Pictured below is their Hash Brown Casserole, one of many recipes featured on the website, a Sportiqe employee cooked up this weekend. Absolutely delicious!
