Yes, Greg Olsen is an outstanding football player, but he is an equally outstanding person. Nearly 10 years ago, Greg’s mother, Susan, was diagnosed with breast cancer. During those impossibly difficult times, Susan battled through chemotherapy and attended all of her three sons’ and husbands’ football games or school functions. Susan is now an 8-year survivor and Greg will never forget his mother’s courage and what she did for their family.
He has since started “Receptions for Research” The Greg Olsen Foundation. This foundation was established in 2009 to provide hospitals, doctors and researchers the necessary resources to save those with various types of cancers. This past week, on May 27th, the foundation sponsored its 2nd Annual “Shake The Lake” festival, a music-festival fundraiser, in Chicago, IL. The celebration featured performances by “Hootie & The Blowfish” frontman Darius Rucker and Matt Kennon in addition to local celebrities and athletes. Sportiqe is proud to have made shirts for both the festival and the foundation!
